This podcast is awesome. It will change how you think about healthcare in the United States. Our guest, Tim Bartholow (Chief Medical Officer at WEA Trust) is the perfect person to talk with about this. I promise you will learn a lot.

Tim was a practicing family physician from 1992 to 2008 in Sauk City, WI. After that he was Chief Medical Officer at the Wisconsin Medical Society until 2014. Then he joined a health insurer, WEA Trust, as Chief Medical Officer, where he is currently.

We talk about why healthcare is becoming so expensive. And how this will price out many lower and middle income people. Things need to change. Tim is helping to lead the charge.

This is one of our first interviews for Flyover Labs focused on big ideas. These are ideas that can and will impact your life. These ideas will also hopefully make you think about life and business in a new way.

Here are some other things we talk about:

-Can you give us examples of how healthcare is becoming so expensive? Examples of how providers charge different prices for same services/procedures.
-Is WEA Trust doing something different than other payers? Why? How?
-Can you tell us more about how you started working with Milwaukee?
-What’s the future of healthcare if we all continue on this trajectory?
